Christmas Tag

Ok.........here goes. I got tagged.


1. Egg Nog or Hot chocolate...........most definately HOT CHOCOLATE!! With marshmellows....and toast! (I hate eggnog personally)

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? ........How boring would that be. To just find presents unwrapped under the tree. HE WRAPS!!! (Part of the fun of Christmas morning, is taking turns and watching others unwrap their gifts and seeing their faces when they open it. You can't do that if stuff isn't wrapped.)

3. Colored lights on a tree/house or white.............Definately white! I like colored if they are all the same color. Not multi-colored.

4. Do I hang mistletoe?............No. Where do you buy mistletoe?

5. When do I put up my decorations?.............Usually the day after Thanksgiving. Probably this year also.

6. What is my favorite holiday dish?.................. I love homeade caramels, hand dipped chocolates, and sugar cookies.

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child.............. I still remember getting my 'Barbie Dreamhouse'. I couldn't stand it, I was so excited! Everyone loved to come to my house to play Barbies after that. I also remember getting some white boots that I wanted so bad. I snooped, and found them under my mom's bed, and it ruined it for me. I also remember getting this white coat that I really wanted. I love seeing pictures of me in that white coat. It brings back fond memories as a youth. Those 3 things I really remember as a child.

8. When and how did I learn the truth about Santa?...............My older cousin Diann Elmer told me one day that there wasn't a Santa. I found out she was lying......there is a Santa. He comes to our house every year.

9. Do we open a Christmas gift on Christmas Eve? .............. Yes, usually. Our family started a "Canned Auction" on Christmas Eve several years ago, and we auction off cans that we put funky labels on, and everyone gets play money, and buys cans. They may combine money with others, to outbid someone. Then we open the cans and see what everyone bought. That has been fun.

10. How do I decorate our tree?...............With a million decorations and lights.

11. Can I ice skate?.................. I used to, kind of. Not well though. But I can rollerskate!#@. ( I know...that doesn't count!)

12. Can I remember my favorite gift?..............Humm. Not really. I remember some of my funniest gifts, but I seem to have a favorite every year. Not just one in particular.

13. What is the most important thing about he holidays for me?........... I want my family, and friends to know that I care about them and that I am thinking of them. And I want to show gratitude. I feel gratitude is extremely important.

14. What is my favorite holiday dessert?............ I already wrote it above.

15. What is my favorite holiday tradition?............. our stockings are a really fun tradition.......just hanging out Christmas day, playing the new games we opened, waking up early. Christmas Eve is more exciting than Christmas Day to me. I love our Christmas Eve traditions with the Warners.

16. What tops my tree............a star.

17. What do I prefer. Giving or receiving...............Definately giving. I love shopping for Christmas.

18. What is my favorite Christmas song?..................... "C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S". My kids will know that song. I have always loved that song. And "Mary's Lullabye".


19. Candy Canes?.............. OH YES!

20. Do I feel Christmas is too commercialized?...............So so much it is. When I am seeing Christmas stuff in the stores even before Halloween is over.....that is too much. I also want to hear Christmas songs,after Thanksgiving.......not after Halloween.
