Last night was Kim's German Mission Reunion. Still having reunions you think? Well, these returned missionaries(from 1968-73)are re-writing the Mormon Encyclopedia in German, and and bunch of other stuff in German. They have an awesome website they are doing it on. They are putting out a lot of money, and these reunions are recruiting money to go forward with finishing the Encyclopedia. It is pretty awesome. Pres. Monson knows about it and is behind it. It is hopefull every year that Elder Bednar will come. His secretary always tells the pres. of this South German mission group, that this is his extremely busy time, during conference, but some time he will surprise them all and just show up. For those of you reading this, Bednar was in Kim's mission. Elder Uchdorf, had a message for the group of missionaries, which was awesome, since he is German, and is from the South German mission. Elder Dallenbach spoke and told us all about the Southern mission borders, and some stories, since he is a general authority and was a president in that mission way before Kim's time. It was a great night. After we left, we stayed in a hotel in Salt Lake, to celebrate Kim's birthday on Monday.
When we woke up today, we went to Furniture Warehouse, and found us a new couch and love seat! Oh, how we both loved this set. We were trying them out mainly to find comfort, and this one is extremely comfortable, as that was our main criteria. We are really excited to pick it up in a few weeks when the whole living room will be torn apart and come back together, hopefully with a more modern look.
As the men went to their priesthood session, Emily put up her massage table, and Becca and I enjoyed being relaxed and pampered with a massage. We then tried to give Emily one, as best as we know how anyway. We played with Ethan and ate rootbeer floats. Fun night......and the EGG HUNT IS TOMORROW AFTER CONFERENCE!
Your massage is great! A back rub is a back rub! You did great. I just think it's fun for all of us to get together without any boys in the way. Well, other than little Ethan of course! But he's always welcome. What a sweetie. I can't wait to see your new couch.
